transferring the contents from moonfruit

Subject: existing domain; creating a business blog/website via wordpress

    hello,
i use wordpress for my personal blogging. However, as I’m working as freelance in interpreting and translating, i have recently decided to create a website to advertise my business. With a lack of knowledge which website builder would suit my needs, I went for moonfruit. Even though it is a very straightforward website builder, it does not appeal to me. It is very slow and clunky at times. And I would like to have something very fast and professional.
Now, I haven’t created a separate site on wordpress in relation to my service of interpreting. I understand I can create another site in relation to interpreting services. I tried to register, however when I write ‘interpret’ it says this domain already is registered. Now, I understand there is a possibility to transfer already registered domain, however what do I do for the time being, how do I register my blog/site what name do I choose and can it be changed afterwards and do I go for the business one? How much monthly that would cost me and for how long?

Many thanks in advance for your effort in responding!
    Agne

    Hi Agne,

You won’t be able to transfer your domain into WordPress.com, but you will be able to “map” your domain instead. Here’s a support article that explains domain mapping:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

When you create a new blog, you should be able to type your existing domain name as the Blog Address. A button that says “Do you own this domain and want to map it?” will appear once WordPress.com detects that it is already registered. The domain mapping upgrade would cost $13 per domain.

You’ll then need to change the DNS records at your domain registrar to point to WordPress.com’s name servers.
