Transferring the WordPress.com Premium upgrade

  If I abandon an existing blog and create a new one, under the same account, can the Premium upgrade on the existing blog be transferred to the new blog, or would I need to purchase a new and separate upgrade for the new blog?

  Transferring the upgrade seems too much to ask, but the following excerpt, from an answer to another question by WP staffer ‘rachelmcr,’ makes it sound possible:

  ‘All WordPress.com upgrades are per blog (rather than per account), although you are welcome to transfer upgrades to another blog on your account.’

  If transferring the Premium upgrade is possible, and I decide to do so, how would I accomplish the transfer?

  UPDATE BY ORIGINAL POSTER

  After posting the above, I found that I can “Change Site Address” and “Start Over.” That would solve my issue, and be only slightly less convenient than transferring the Premium upgrade to a new blog.
