Transferring to Squarespace

  Trying to transfer domain to Squarespace. I created the cname o.k. but can’t find the domain forwarding option. I am using the free wordpress, not upgraded.

  downloaded the 301 plugin but can’t find where to put plugins. Just lost in general.

  when I go to Squarespace I get this message: “We found a DNS record for truecue.org, but it is not pointing to a redirector service. The correct method for pointing a top-level domain is to create a redirect at your DNS provider pointing to http://www.truecue.org.”

  Hi Porky,

  With Squarespace, the instructions you were following weren’t correct for WordPress.com. We need the A record set for the root domain, as we don’t have domain forwarding that is compatible with Squarespace.

  I’ve changed your A record for you to the one indicated in Squarespace’s documentation of 65.39.205.61.

  If you’re no longer intending to use WordPress.com, it may be good for you to consider transferring to a different registrar.
