Transferring to WordPress

  Hi there, I’m currently with Wix and it doesn’t expire till February so would like to build a website on wordpress ready for then, is this possible to do without connecting domain name yet?

  Happy to answer that for you.

  Yes, you can build the site now on free WordPress.com plan and connect the domain later when you’re ready.

  When you’re ready to connect your domain to your site, you will need a paid WordPress.com plan.
  Then you can either:

  Transfer your domain to our registrar
  Configure your domain to point to your WordPress.com site
