    Hello everyone,

    I am having a very hard time understanding why i do not have access to plugins, it’s kind of a bummer because i wasn’t aware they wouldn’t be available if i bought my own domain.
    However, according to most answers on plugins , I understood that I’s have to move my domain to wordpress;org in order to have access to plugins;

    here is my website http://www.thetrendjungle.com

    Can anyone let me know if this is the right thing to do? and How I can do this? and also if it costs anything?

    THANK YOU

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Purchasing a domain name upgrade does not mean that your site is hosted any place besides here on WordPress.com. Registering a domain name is not the same as hosting your site.

    If you host your site you need to pay for several things:

    • a domain name
    • a company to host your site so it’s visible online
    • software to make your site function
    • possibly some expert advice to fix things which go wrong

    A domain upgrade is just a sort of street sign pointing to your blog hosted on WordPress.com here for free. Or think of it like a nametag you put on at a big party: you write “Libby” on your nametag but your legal / real name is “Elizabeth.” Everyone at the party will call you “Libby” but you are still the same “Elizabeth.”

    I am having a very hard time understanding why i do not have access to plugins, …

    If you need plugins, adverts, affiliates, or various sorts of code not allowed on WordPress.com, then you will need to find a host (who you will pay for the service). WordPress.org software is free, as are many themes you can use. Also many host sites provide software to “build your site” as part of their hosting packages.

    Here are details about the various kinds of WordPress:

    If you decide that you need a self hosted site, then it is very easy to move your content:
