Transferring to WP

  I host a personal blog through tumblr and would like to move to WP. My question would be am I able to retain the content of my blog if I make the move over to WP? If so, how do I begin doing this? I own the domain name for the blog.

  You can import your posts from a Tumblr blog into a WordPress.com blog after creating a WordPress.com account.

  After you’ve “signed up” for WordPress, take yourself over to the Import support page and follow the instructions provided there. If you have any questions or difficulties, don’t hesitate to ask for assistance.
