Transferring web address

I need to transfer my web name to another host as I am redesigning it with WordPress (rather than as a blog) but when I try to transfer I am told the name is locked.
I have sent a message to WordPress via the online form earlier today, but it really is quite urgent as the website is all ready to go and needs to go live next week.
Does anyone know how long they will take to get back to me?

an active links starting with http:// to the root .wordpress.com blog in question;
the domain name in question.Did your purchase your domain through WordPress.com or not? If so and if you are trying to change registrars the ICANN provision that applies to all is 60 days. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/domain-management/#transfer-to-another-registrar

That’s what we’ve done, but when we check the status of the transfer in EasySpace it says the domain is locked. The message says: Domain status clientTransferProhibited does not allow for transfer
Any ideas? Will WordPress reply to me do you think?

If you actually want to transfer your domain to another registrar, not just change the nameservers, you need to follow this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/domain-management/#transfer-to-another-registrar

The authorisation code I have been sent comes up as incorrect, how can I get the correct one?

As long as you follow the process above, you should receive a correct one via email. It’s not something that we can send for you.
It’s also possible that the code is expiring if you’re taking too long to use it.
