Transferring website from wix to wordpress
-
Hello,
I currently have a website with Wix. My domain and mailbox were also purchased through them but I would like to transfer everything to WordPress. I don’t want to lose any content from my existing site as I would like to move everything over (manually). What is the best way to do this?

Hello!
I’m assuming you want to transfer your Wix site to WordPress.com. If you want to transfer to WordPress.org (the open-source software), I suggest to ask in this forum https://wordpress.org/support/. For more information about .com vs .org https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
If you decide to transfer your Wix site to WordPress.com, this article will help you: https://wordpress.com/support/import/import-from-wix/
Hope this helps, any question please let us know :)

Hi there,
It is definitely possible to import your Wix contents to help you get started with setting up your WordPress.com site. We have a guide here you can follow: https://wordpress.com/support/import/import-from-wix/
Free sites on WordPress.com do not have custom addresses, so to use your Wix domain and email you will need at least our WordPress.com Personal Plan (or higher) which includes the ability to set a custom site URL.
You would also have the option (under any of our plans) to transfer your domain to us at no additional charge, and if you do so we will also bump the expiry of your domain to give you one free year of registration.
Learn more about our WordPress.com upgrade plans here: https://wordpress.com/pricing/
Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.
