Transferring website hosting

Our website is being hosted by a company and the creator of the website is now medically unwell, I have access and can edit the pages but I would like new hosting and ownership over the site as the company is being shut down

I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble. But there is no evidence that https://sport4fitness-cic.co.uk/ was ever hosted on or registered through WordPress.com.
It looks like your site is using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but is hosted with another webhost.
We’re only able to provide support for WordPress websites that are hosted by us here at WordPress.com. For help with a WordPress site hosted elsewhere you’ll need to ask over at the WordPress.org forums:

In addition, your site seems to have something wonky going on with it. The site loads, but then immediately tries to forward you to a gloveryforbluewine.com URL.
So you definitely have some issues that need sorting out.

Our web support team are now unavailable due to the web designer’s ill health and the company is going to fold, we were advised to move to another hosting site due to the company’s closures by the end of this month.
I have exported the site in its current format
Can I transfer that exported file to an account with yourselves at wordpress.com?

Hi @marksport4fitnesscick, sorry we misunderstood! I can see the site runs WordPress, though it currently has a site redirect on it. Not sure whether that’s intentional; can you confirm?
We have a few different ways of importing sites:
https://wordpress.com/support/import/#self-hosted-word-press-org-siteYou would need a Pro plan to import everything. If you’ll start with that, then use one of the All In One Export tools, we can likely help you bring it in. You’ll have access to direct support that way, too.

@marksport4fitnesscic I just wanted to check and see how you’re doing with this.
I realized after seeing a few similar cases that some redirect hack must be going around, and I wonder if that’s the case with your site, too. I see the site now points to a “coming soon” type page now. If you need anything further from us, let us know.
