transferring wordpress site but not my account

  Hello! I am trying to transfer the content of the wp blog that I have been working on to a new account which I do not own. I’m not sure how to do this as the site has a domain (.com) attached to it, and I don’t want to give my account over to the new user.

  The wp help pages don’t seem to address my situation. Transferring the site also transfers my account, and changing the blog address won’t allow me to change it to a third party which I do not own. The site as it stands already has purchased a domain upgrade (slvdc.com).

  Hi,

  None of the types of site transfer listed in the Moving a Blog support page involve transferring an account. Where do you find that information?

  @ carolem,

  When you transfer a site from one account to another, the original account containing the site is not transferred.
