Transferring WordPress.com blog to WordPress.org hosted blog?
-
I have a site http://www.presentingmatt.com that is working great and is hosted through godaddy. But now I want to start an actual blog but want to build it, test it, and get some buzz first using the free web-based wordpress tool. Down the line though, I will want to eventually buy the domain, find hosting, and transfer everything over and maintain using the wordpress software so I can monetize it, install plugs-ins and edit accordingly.
This is possible right??

In short: yes it is possible.
If you “have the site” you already own the domain, assuming it is registered by you through godaddy.
So if you start a free blog on wordpress.com, you can at any time install WordPress on http://www.presentingmatt.com, and move over all of your content so the blog appears at your current domain.
