Transferring wordpress.com Domain

  Hi,

  I have a blog through WordPress.com.

  I want to move it to a Dreamhost account. If I transfer the domain over, will the site still be run on the automatic wordpress.com thingy or will I have the customizability of wordpress.org?

  I want to be able to design and customize the site myself without the wordpress.com engine running it.

  You can definitely move your blog over to WordPress.org hosting on the host of your choice. The steps are gone through step-by-step here and it has further links for the details of a particular step if you have any other problems.
