Transferring wordpress.com domain to self hosted wordpress

    Hi there,

    I have added on a domain to my wordpress.com blog, but now would like to switch to a self-hosted wordpress installation. Any tips on how I might go about this process?

    In particular:

    – Pointing the old domain at my new hosting

    – Recommended hosting providers?

    – I won’t be exporting the blog, I’ll just rebuild it from scratch using old content
