Transferring WordPress.com Site

  I have a WordPress site that was active until a few months back. My hosting and domain expired. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to retrieve the backup from the cPanel before the hosting expired. My bluehost cPanel page tells me ‘No backup available’.

  I can still see a preview of my posts on WordPress.com/<site> when I log in to WordPress.

  Is there any way I can retrieve the site and have the content repopulated again on my new hosting and domain under GoDaddy? Appreciate any help I can get.

  It seems that your site was not hosted on WordPress.COM. Your site was hosted on Bluehost with a software install of WordPress.ORG which means that it is not applicable to this forum.

  It would be better suited for you to ask this question at https://WordPress.org/support/ for a more accurate answer. If you don’t have a WordPress.ORG account you’ll need to create one. Your WordPress.COM account won’t work there.

  Also, you can read the differences of WordPress.com and WordPress.org.
