Transger of Domain Name

Is there a possibility that I get the domain name I purchased a few months ago with NameCheap.com (has access trial to EasyWP but I am not pursuing it because the dashboard confuses me). How do I transfer this domain name (which validity is a year) so I can use it in my WP.com account? I hope I make seanse. Newbie here. Thank you.

It’s more what you prefer.
Connecting allows you to keep the domain registered with your current domain registrar and direct it to your WordPress.com site: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-existing-domain/
A transfer would allow managing both your site and domain from the same place: https://wordpress.com/support/move-domain/incoming-domain-transfer/
Therefore it depends on whether or not you want to manage your domain separately from your hosting or if you want to manage both in the same place. In the end, the result is the same.
However, if you want that domain to be the primary domain for your site here at WordPress.com, you will need one of our paid plans to do that. However, you can use the first year free domain credit to transfer your domain here. Otherwise, the domain connection is free for the life of your plan.
