Translating a blog
-
Hello,
I was wondering if you have a translation widget like Google has.
This allows readers to chose the language they want to read the blog in to.What is WordPress doing about having to handle several languages?!

Hi Leonor,
We don’t, but you can link to specific Google Translate URL to load your blog with a specific language*, and add it to your primary navigation custom menu, or create another custom menu to be used for your sidebar (Appearance -> Widgets) by adding the Custom Menu widget.
e.g. http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=en&tl=fr&u=http%3A%2F%2Fleonorhelenodesigns.com%2F
* It would load from Google’s site.
You can also try the suggestion mentioned in this forum thread:

You can only select one language setting for your blog in Settings -> General under Blog Language, and there’s an Interface Language setting (which is what you see when managing your blog in the dashboard).
We also have the following pages for Internationalization support, and we’d love your help! :-)
