translating a theme leaves parts of untranslated

A friend installed a theme to their new site and asked me to help them change the language of the theme. They bought a translation ready version for that specific reason.
I tried translating the rather short list of translatable objects with poedit and the resulting translation missed a bunch of thing.
Than I used the .po & .mo files from the general Bulgarian language version of WordPress and this translated pretty much everything with a few exceptions.
– Must Read button
– a second search bar at the top not part of the theme
– a back to top button at the end
– a home button first amongst the tabs.My question if someone can explain here or is willing to explain via Skype how can I remove or change the last 4 things that just did not get translated. How do I do it manually. I’ve almost no experience with WordPress but I’m generally computer savvy.
