Translating comments

  Hi folks,

  It is not help but rather an idea – for the nearer or far future?

  WP is all over the world and as far as I can see, a lot of people use more than one language. So do I. In my posts and pages I prefer doing my own translations which is more a rewriting in another language (and often culture) than strict translation.

  Lately I have been trying to get people to discuss which is really fun when it works – but when one comment is in English and the other in Dutch, it kind of gets stuck sooner or later. So I gave it a try to translate it myself – but when there is a lot being said, it could turn into a fulltime job… :-(

  Isn’t there a way to create a widget to go with comments that would put ‘translate’ next to the comment – at least in some major languages to begin with (hopefully with Dutch included…) – and connect it to some translating ‘machine’? I am no fan of Google translations but I would even settle for that, really…

  As I said, just an idea…
