Transparent background?
-
I uploaded my own background image but the stylesheet (where my text appears) is a big block of white. How can I make the text area transparent so I can see my background and then change the color of the text to be easier to see?
Thanks!

I’m not clear about 2 things. Have you purchased the CSS upgrade yet or are you working in preview mode ? Have you read this? http://csswiz.wordpress.com/2009/10/15/if-you-have-the-wp-com-css-upgrade/

I just started and have not purchased anything. Do I need to purchase to make all this happen?

First, you need to learn CSS to a fairly high standard. Then you need to purchase the CSS upgrade to implement those changes.
Do NOT buy the upgrade unless you already know what you’re doing, because you’re essentially on your own with it.

@bkbites : A tip: Use FireBuf firefox plugin when editing CSS, it is of immense help.

With this you can test changes on page without saving CSS content. -

Yes. You must purchase a Custom CSS upgrade, do the work yourself, and pay to renew the upgrade annually. See here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-css/ and here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/editing-css/
