Transparent Background for LaTeX Equations

    Is there a way to make the background of the images rendered by the $latex $ code transparent? I modified the URL of one of my rendered images so it says bg=transparent and the background was indeed transparent, but when I tried doing the same for the LaTeX source in my post, the formula didn’t parse.
