Transparent Backgrounds of Images

  Transparent backgrounds of images are not transparent in posts but are on sidebar. This has been happening off and on for a while but seems to have become permanant the last couple of weeks. Caches cleared, and checked on different computers and OSs.
  Example is the lamp icon on this page–similare image on sidebar appears correcly:
