trashed an image
-
My wordpress blog is greyed out and the error is as follows;
“You can’t edit this item because it is in the Trash. Please restore it and try again.”
However I cannot get rid of this page, no matter what.
This came about because I tried upload an image of my PDF cover page. This unfortunately is difficult so I tried to trash what was there.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It seems that you may have not permanently deleted it as yet http://en.support.wordpress.com/trash/#permanently-deleting-an-upload
If that doesn’t work for you then please provide the URL.
Note: To keep things running quickly around here, files are held in multiple caches through a separate system. These caches are usually cleared within 3 days. Deleting blogs and/or blog content does not remove any indexed items from the SERPs (search engine page results). Google and Bing only clear their caches of deleted indexed content that produces a 404 (page not found) every 3 – 6 months.
If you have deleted a web page or an image and it has been removed from the server and, the URL returns a 404 page not found error, then you can request Google to remove the page from their indexed cache. Remember the URL of the page to be removed must return a 404 error otherwise this tool will not work.

Hi there,
I was able to restore the deleted post by going into your Trash and clicked on “Restore” below the Post Title.
You may now edit the post here:
https://wilborrayedblog.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=2&action=edit
Please bear in mind that the PDF file you uploaded may not be displayed as a regular image. You will have to extract the cover photo using an image editing software such as Photoshop and save it as a JPEG file.
Let me know if you had other questions. Thanks!
