Traveler header photo is the wrong size

    Hi!

    The customization package for the traveler theme says to use header photos that are 1950×360, but when I do so, the edges of my photo get cut off. Everything seems fine when I’m at the cropping screen. I’ve tried re-uploading the photo, but that didn’t help. Am I doing something wrong?

    The Traveler theme is a little funny that way. It does cut the image off at different points depending on the browser width you’re viewing at. Traveler is really designed with header background images in mind—which means the image should be something that still looks good even if it gets cut off such as a photo or an image with a repeating background pattern. It’s not designed to work with text placed directly into the image.

    You can see what I mean if you open the Traveler demo site and make your browser width smaller. See how the photo there gets cut off at smaller browser sizes?

    Try using a photo that works well as a background and turn the header text display back on in the Appearance > Header page.
