Tried all your instructions to remove reply box none of them work regards John

  Cant remove the reply box from my pages tried all your instructions. Regards John

  Not sure whose instructions you are referring to but

  1: Go to Dashboard > Settings > Discussion
  2: Uncheck the box ‘Allow people to post comments on new articles’

  (nb: at the end of that page you can also change leave a reply to comment or anything you prefer)

  3: You can also uncheck the ‘allow comments’ per page / post in ‘edit mode’, even in the ‘new editor’ just scroll down and it’s to the left in the column under Likes and Shares and Visibility.

  Oh, and for both the ‘Discussion’ and ‘Per Post Page’ ~ don’t forget to update / save.

  When in the Discussion via Dashboard; the ‘save changes’ button is right down the bottom of the page.

  Hi you have to scroll… for the column on the left to be visible (are you using what people call the new editor ‘beep beep boop…..’ Or the ‘older’ editor?

  Here is one pic
  and the second pic that I’ve screenshot~ted for you (as you will see, the editor box itself does not move..

  ‘With the option 1, I think it would only work for posts / pages from ‘now’, but not entirely sure.

  oh… I actually prefer the ‘old one’ and use it often. So not to confuse the matter I’ll do two more screenshots…

  Thanks Cant find an option in the old editor to disable the reply or comments box regards john.

  Screenshot 1 you’ll see a little dropdown: you have to tick the ‘discussion’ box.

  Screenshot 2 by scrolling down keep going and you’ll see the ‘allow comments’ option.. So now you can edit any past post / page and future individually.

  You may as well uncheck the trackbacks and pingbacks as well..

  Hope it gets fixed for you :)
