Tried switching from http to https and now the admin page and full page is down

    I tried taking step one in fixing going from http to https through settings on the admin page, but after I did that it kicked me out of the site and now it gives me an error screen every time I try to log in. The site is also not working. Is there a way to revert this? I’m not strong in coding and am not sure how I’d fix it without admin access.

    Hi there,

    Your site is not hosted with us on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress.org software at another host.

    Changing the domain on a stand-alone WordPress site like yours has to follow a specific process. You can find the documentation for that process here, though many hosting providers have their own process for this via their hosting control panel.

    And enabling https on a site also has its own process, specific to your hosting provider.

    Depending on your setup, you might be able to fix this yourself using the instructions above. If not, please contact your hosting provider directly for help.
