I tried to add a video to my blog. The system kept saying ‘fetching video’ Is there an easier way to put a video onto a blog? Or is the system down and it just isn’t working?

See here for the videopress upgrade which allows you to upload videos from your computer for hosting and playback directly within your blog.

If you’re trying to upload the video to your blog here, rather than embed the YouTube, do you have the videopress upgrade? If not, you can’t upload video files directly.

I am kind of confused as to how to do this??? Do I delete all the words YouTube??? Also I initially went onto a site called Mind Movies in order to make the movies (they are my own creation) Just don’t quite understand what you said for me to do?????

Why don’t you just tell us what you’re trying to do and we can tell you how to do it. Answer my question: are you uploading raw video to your blog, or are you trying to embed a YouTube, Vimeo, or DailyMotion video that you’ve already made?

As i said I am not at all computer savvy. I have four mini videos on YOU TUBE I went onto wordpress and found out that I could put a video on my blog. So I pressed a button on the wordpress site in order to put the video on my blog. And nothing happened! I don’t know anythoing about Uploading or what ever you said. And as I said I have decided not to do it!!!

Well, why shouldn’t she? Clearly you’re not having any luck figuring this out on your own.
If you have four videos on YouTube, forget trying to upload them to your blog. Don’t press ANY buttons to put the video on your blog. Just use the YouTube shortcode for WP.com which works like this:
[youtube=URL]So, for instance, to get the video for the goat yodeling One Direction song in my latest post, http://raincoaster.com/2013/04/22/how-to-facebook/ I copied the URL of the video from the YouTube page, http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=9beY3bvJmEU and I put it in that shortcode
`[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=9beY3bvJmEU]And poof, it just works.
