Tried to change my wordpress.com name but it doesnt work

I followed the instructions to change my username, but what I really wanted to do was to change giezela.wordpress.com to charlottebenedicte.wordpress.com. So I tried to change the username, which was someting else, and registered charlottebenedicte.wordpress.com as another blog. And then I tried to delete it. But if I do that I can’t use that name again!! What do I do!?? I have to blame wordpress for this, it didn’t say that I never could use it again if I registered it and then to delete it. I bought the domain charlottebenedicte.com because it fits the blog better than giezela. So any tips??

Don’t delete it; just set it to Private.
Now, on the one hand you say you registered http://charlottebenedicte.wordpress.com and on the other you say you purchased http://charlottebenedicte.com
Now, is the issue that you want to apply the domain name http://charlottebenedicte.com
to the blog http://giezela.wordpress.com ? Or you want to move the contents of http://giezela.wordpress.com to http://charlottebenedicte.wordpress.com for free?To apply an external domain name to a WP.com blog you have to buy the domain mapping upgrade. To move the contents of one WP.com blog to another, it’s free. You don’t HAVE to delete anything. Just set the one you don’t want to Private or make a post saying someone else can have it if they email you or something.
