Tried to delete my site and it didn't work

Hi there – I want to permanently delete my blog. I went through the steps to do this (Tools > Delete Site > Confirmed via email etc) and received confirmation that it was done – however the site is still live. Can anyone please explain how to get rid of it?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It’s strange that you received an email with a confirmation of deletion link in it and you clicked that link and the blog was not deleted. Did you try copying and pasting that link into your upper browser bar and clicking? That is what I would do.

Hold it! Were you logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered that specific blog?

Yes I was logged in using the same username. All it seems to have done is unlinked my account from the blog – I can no longer access the admin functions of the site using the account I used to create it. Would appreciate if a staff member could delete it for me. Thanks
