tried updating plugin, whole site is now down… not sure what to do

    This message showed up on my dashboard ‘The following plugins need to be updated to their latest version to ensure maximum compatibility with this theme: 1. Visual Composer and 2. Layer Slider.’

    So i followed the steps to update ‘Visual Composer’ first and on the next click to update the next plugin I got a white screen with this message on it:

    I don’t understand what happened at all, and i’m not sure what to do, can you please help

    This forum can only provide help for sites hosted at WordPress.com.

    It appears you’re using self-hosted WordPress. You can repost your question at https://wordpress.org/support/

    They will probably tell you to connect to your site via FTP and delete the folder for the “visual composer” plugin.
