Triple views and triple time

Whenever I include photos with my posts, I have the problem of dealing with three different views each showing different results: Visual editing mode; Preview; and final saved Post. No matter how much tinkering I do, the views never match. The end result is that I’m spending about 3 times as long on a post with most of it being the formatting. Considering the multitude of features and widgets that you can have, it seems strange to still have this kind of problem. I wonder if anyone else has this problem.

We can’t even begin to help you without a link to your blog, starting with http.

Forgot it: http://jolsonville.com/2009/03/15/492/#more-492. It’s one of many that I create with photos and the problem is similar to what I wrote. I’ve also learned to erase any excess markup and even sometimes work in HTML.

If you can work in HTML it’ll give you the most precise results. But my advice is to blast the post up there and THEN tinker with the formatting. Because the Visual editor will NEVER look exactly like the finished product, even if everything is centered and on its own line. And the Preview isn’t perfect. So get it up there and then tinker based not on extrapolations from rough previews but from the actual POST.
