Triton Lite Remove Slider – tip

  I’ve been searching the forums trying to find out if there’s a way to REMOVE the slider from the Triton Lite theme but still have sticky posts at the top. I worked it out! So I’m posting it here in case anyone else is later searching for a solution.

  Now this sounds very obvious in hindsight but after searching the forums and finding complaints from people who were having trouble getting the slider to work because their featured images weren’t wide enough, I was able to edit all my sticky posts to make sure the featured images were NOT wide enough and voila.

  – If you WANT to display your sticky posts as a slider, you need to make sure you have selected a featured image which is at least 950 pixels wide.

  – If you DO NOT want to display your sticky posts as a slider, you can either edit your featured image or upload the same image you chose last time but smaller this time (leaving the original in the body of the post) so that the one you have selected under “featured image” is less than 950 pixels wide. The sticky posts will display at the top of your front page, but in the same format as your recent posts.
