triton lite – slider issue

  I activated this theme through wordpress.com but am having trouble taking advantage of some of its advertised options. The slider does not show on my blog and does not even appear under theme options or anywhere under the appearance tab. Am I missing something or is the slider not in fact available on the free wordpress.com version?

  Thanks for reposting this here, denartiest. The theme’s creator posits that the slider feature may have been removed from the free wordpress.com version, but the theme is still advertised on wordpress.com’s showcase as having a slider feature. Would like to have this confirmed one way or the other.

  Ok. This is what I got from Phillip:

  “To enable the featured slider (it was recoded and doesn’t use Easy Slider), a user needs to make a post Sticky and make sure that it has a featured image at least 950 pixels wide assigned to it. That’s all there is to it. Sticky posts that do not have images attached to them will still show up first on the index page, as you can see from the demo.”

  Thanks for posting my response, Towfiq. Heads up that themes on .org and .com will in most cases NOT be identical, especially when Theme Options are involved. The featured post slider on the Extend (.org) version uses an entirely different codebase than the WP.com version, so for the WP.com version, please ask questions here. I’d hate for Towfiq to have to answer questions about this. Cheers.

  hello,
  I am a very novice user to wordpress and I am using this theme on my web site and need a short help (www.alagozboya.com )

  I dont know how to add new images to be shown in the slider , or if I cant , how to stop it about circling the same image ?

  can you help please ? thanks in advance …

  ok I got it , sorry
  as Towfiq said in his blog:
  Go to Appearance> Triton Lite Options>Slider and set the number of slides.
  And you can create menu by going to Appearance>Menus

  How can I turn slider on? I made 2 posts sticky and it doesn’t work… Any help please ?
