Triton Lite Theme : colours – not logic!
-
Dear all,
I hope you can help me. The helpdesk suggested I post my question: my blog is about art and creativity but somehow it doesn’t reflect on this theme Triton Lite Theme.
When you roll the mouse over the thumbnail that’s when the colours of the images appear. As a result the wole page is very bleak. Shouldn’t it be the other way around? Is there a solution? All images in colour and when you roll the mouse over, that’s when it gets greyish? It isn’t logic as it is now.
It’s such a shame because the theme is perfect otherwise!
Thanks for all your help.N.

Hello,
I can get you half way there. From the looks of it, the grayish look is being controlled by Java, and I’m not sure of an easy way to override that with CSS. However, what you can do is add this text to your CSS page
.imgwrap{
opacity: 1 !important;
}This will take away the grayish look to the icons, but they will not grey out when hovered over. I’m still looking for a way to do it, I will let you know what I come up with.
I hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Charlie,
Thanks for the update. Any news on inverting the colour control, i.e making everything bright and only greying the articles when we pass the mouse on each article?
Thanks

Hi there, @charliescheer was right on track with this. In addition to what he has given, add this and the reversal of the image rollover effect will be complete.
.imgwrap:hover { opacity: 0.7 !important; } -

Thanks for your help, how do I implement this code if I’m not on the payable subscription?
Best,

Sorry, I should have checked that. You would need the WordPress.com Premium Plan upgrade in order to apply the above custom CSS.
You can try out and preview custom CSS before you buy as explained here.
