Trouble Accessing Administrative capabilities
-
I have started a blog for my work. I was added to the blog as an administrator under my work e mail ((email visible only to moderators and staff)). However, I cannot access any of the administrative “duties”: I cannot add users and so forth, as needed.
My colleague keeps trying to add me as an administrator and sending me invitations, but it is not working, as I “already have an account.” I am wondering if I can’t unsubscribe and then resubscribe….

Howdy, it looks like you are referring to being added as an administrator to this blog: https://english101adlc.wordpress.com – is that correct?
I reviewed the records and it seems that you were originally added as a private user/follower. This is why you did not have administrator rights – you need to be added as an administrator in order for that to happen.
I also noticed that you blocked invites. Assuming that you do want to receive blog invites in the future, I reversed this.
To have an administrator role, you need to be added via Users > Add New, not via Privacy > Sharing. It might be helpful to refer the main site admin doing invitations to the following support article: http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/
If they add you as an administrator via Users > Add New, you should have the correct admin rights.
