Trouble accessing old account

    Hello,
    I would like to regain access to an old website that is still linked to my organization’s email address. We know the account’s username, but the password we have on file is not working. I think that the password is not working due to inactivity. However, the website is still accessible online. I tried to submit an account recovery form but we cannot find any proof of ownership that is requested. We can prove that the account is linked to our email since we have received many emails from WordPress when website visitors fill out a inquiry form on that website. I would like to be connected to a Customer Service representative (=Happiness Engineer) so as to sort out this problem.

    I think that the password is not working due to inactivity.

    That is not something that would happen here at WordPress.com. What is the address of the site? Is it hosted here? If you still have access to the email connected to the site then you should easily be able to recover the site.

    I have a similar situation yet I can access my account with my username and password yet I it says I do not have a website yet. However I have one. I need to urgently update an information on my website which is the following: https://hipnozvenlp.wordpress.com/ or else I have to ask wordpress to delete it completely because the issue is very important. I prefer updating it. If this cannot be done, how can I ask wordpress to remove my website completely. (Account cancellation may not remove my website as it seems unlinked with my current account).

    Also I am curious why this happened? How come I am unable to access my website. This is very wrong.

    Sounds like the site you’re looking for is connected to a different user account than the one you’re trying to use.

    Sign out of the account you are using now and back in as the isilblog account. Then you’ll find https://hipnozvenlp.wordpress.com/ listed under My Sites.

    If you’re unable to sign in to the account then proceed with our account recovery option:

    If you ever need staff attention in this forum all you need to do is add the modlook tag to the thread. We answer those in the order that they come in to us. Could you let me know what site you’re trying to access?
