  I received the confirmation email but nothing happens when I click on the button to activate my account.

  Aloha dcwells9301980, Have you checked to make sure the email didn’t end up in your spam/junk mail folder? If you are using Gmail or Google Apps, here are some other things to check:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/email-notifications/gmail-issues/

  If you still cannot find the email, you can add the modlook tag to this thread so a staff member can assist you.
