Trouble adding free domain name to blog (as stated in value-bundle)

    When purchasing a WP value bundle, I was eligible for a free domain name. I never used it, and whenever signing on to this account always received a notification urging me to go ahead and activate the credit. After numerous attempts to “add a new domain” (outwherethebigwavesare.com — which it says is available) I received the message “error validating domain credit” each time of half-a-dozen attempts. After two days of this dead end, TODAY I received the new message saying “that name cannot be added to this blog”. So, I tried a workaround: I temporarily switched the primary from prairywriter.com to prairywriter.wordpress.com. Doing that, I do not receive the “that name cannot be added to this blog” error message, but the other earlier one “error validating domain credit”.

    Obviously, I’m either doing something wrong, or there is a glitch somewhere. Awaiting advice about how to add the new domain name I’m eligible for,
