Trouble adding new user

    Hi,
    I have an account for wordpress with no site in it.
    I am currently working for someone and that person is unable to add me as an admin to their website.
    The error message said
    ‘The username is currently reserved, but may be available in a couple of days’
    ‘That email address has already been used, please check your inbox for an activation email’.
    While I havent got any email from wordpress regarding this.
    I have check my junk or spam too.
    What could be the reason to this

    I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet
