Trouble Creating my Custom DNS

  • Unknown's avatar

I have added a new domain name for my wordpress site: mlbofishing.com
I changed the nameservers in Google sites (where the domain lastbestoutfitters.com was originally purchased). Now, my gmail email is no longer receiving incoming mail. I tried to prevent this from happening from the get-go, but must have missed a step. I called google support and they said that I would have to get a new DNS from wordpress as it is the new host for the domain.

I’ve tried to follow the DNS creation steps offered in support but am not fully understanding. This is the example for editing DNS text

    MX 5 ALT1.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.
    MX 5 ALT2.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.
    MX 1 ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM
    MX 10 ASPMX2.GOOGLEMAIL.COM.
    MX 10 ASPMX3.GOOGLEMAIL.COM.
    TXT v=spf1 include:aspmx.googlemail.com

Since I am using a google mail site, can I copy this directly? Or which parts do I modify?

This is certainly not my area of expertise, so any help is much appreciated! Thanks!
