Trouble deleting site because of a never expiring premium theme purchase
-
When I try to delete one of my sites, I get a warning dialog, ‘Premium Upgrades
You have active premium upgrades on your site. Please cancel your upgrades prior to deleting your site.’When I choose ‘Dismiss’ it cancels the delete and when I choose ‘Manage Purchases’ it seems like a dead end, I think because the theme never expires. What do I need to do in order to delete the site?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Canceling upgrades
Every WordPress.COM blog has a sole owner. It is the person with the WordPress.COM username account who registered the blog under that username account and a single associated email address, and who is the original Admin of the blogs registered under that username account. You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard, cancel any upgrades, claim a refund for any qualified upgrades, and disable auto-renew. Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades. You can also disable auto-renew there. http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades
If you are not logged in under the correct username account then clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies prior to logging into another account
If you do not have the required access you need to contact the person who registered the account and site under it and have them transfer the sites to your username account by using this process. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account

Hi there,
A Premium theme shouldn’t prevent you from deleting a site as far as I know, but I’ve removed that from your account so you should be able to delete the site now.
Please keep in mind that this action is permanent and you won’t be able to use its address again in future.

Hi kokkieh, I have the exact same problem. I want to delete my blog but I also have a never expiring purchased premium theme. When I click on “Manage Purchases” there is no option do remove the theme. Could you please remove my purchases as well? Thank you!

I can remove the Full Frame theme for you. Keep in mind if you later decide you want that theme back you’ll need to buy it again, so please confirm that you’re sure you want to do this.
As an alternative, you can set the site to private, then only you will be able to see it and it and the theme will still be there should you later want them back.

Hi Kokkieh,
Can you please remove my ‘cocoa’ theme as well. It is also a never expiring theme. You have my permission to delete it!
Thank you!

Hello @kokkieh! Jumping onto this train here, I’m also having the same issue with the premium theme purchased for my ladywasdcom.wordpress.com site. I deleted the domain mapping, canceled auto-renew, canceled the premium subscription, and waited 24 hours and it still won’t let me delete the site. The only thing left is the premium theme: tdeditor. I understand I’ll have to buy it again should I want to use it in the future, but I’m happy with the other premium theme I’ve purchased for a different blog! Thanks in advance for your help!

Shouldn’t I rather just move that theme to one of your other sites for you? You don’t need to activate it, but you’ll still have access to it should you want to use it later.
I see you haven’t even had that theme a year yet, and it’s not possible for me to refund it at all at this stage, so I just want to make sure :)
