Trouble Downloading Photos onto Blog

All of a sudden I am unable to download any photos to my blog post. It times out (freezes) and after I exit out of the photos an error message comes up: “Connection lost. Saving has been disabled until you’re reconnected. We’re backing up this post in your browser, just in case.”
I have logged out of my blog and back in. I have restarted my computer to no avail. Yesterday it worked fine, but today not and the only thing that is new was I updated wordpress to the latest version yesterday. However, I was able to download photos after the download yesterday, but not today.
