As far as I know, it can’t be done. It’s javascript, isn’t it?
Please paste the code here between backticks, so we can look at it line by line.

What is the difference in that and a regular google map which I can embed ?
code for reg map:
<iframe width=”425″ height=”350″ frameborder=”0″ scrolling=”no” marginheight=”0″ marginwidth=”0″ src=”http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=114418637777095827713.0004648416bea7a659101&s=AARTsJolcb1PjEqrB9Ox00wRGZ8A39m18w&ll=37.315965,-76.751818&spn=0.095566,0.145912&z=12&output=embed”></iframe>

It can be done:
http://support.wordpress.com/google-maps/
@mrwilliamsburg,
Are you sure you are pasting the code into the Visual editor? -
@mrwilliamsburg: If the Support instructions won’t work, just copy the URL of the map (the “src” part of the code you pasted) and use it with the googlemap shortcode in the html post editor. That would be:
[googlemaps http://maps.google.com/maps/sv?cbp=12,297.27605397944484,,0,5&cbll=37.309829,-76.767735&v=1&panoid=&gl=&hl=en] -
This is odd:
Google gives you an option to customize the maps.
If you customize In street view and copy that code, wordpress does not accept the map.
If you customize in map view, wordpress does accept and embed the map. -

Ok, so I’m not as dumb as I thought ? How does staff look into issues such as this ? Will they read the forum or do I submit the issue somewhere else ?
-
ok. I contacted support. It is odd, but did you try it? May be I just did something dumb?

Did you paste the code for the street view/customize Google maps?
For some reason, my test blog is public so you can see:
a street view in the area where I work
the code I copied from the customize option at Google (unsuccessful)
your code pasted in (successful)
etc. from maps of my own, medium and small, street views and maps.

I just tried again unsuccessfully . Maps are no problem. It is just the street view I am having the problem with.

If it works when you paste it in the HTML editor, but messes up when you go back and try to edit it, then the solution (sadly) is to never, ever edit the post again. I’ve seen a couple of codes that work this way.
-
No, sorry to disagree. Yes, I’ve seen code that works only if one stays in HTML forever, but I’ve switched back and forth between visual and HTML, changed themes, and it still applies. In fact with the code panaghiotisadam wrote, I’ve even pasted in in either visual or HTML.
