trouble finding where to insert the Google Analytics code
-
Hi everyone!
I’m new to Word Press (just switched over from Tumblr). So far I’m loving it and have found answers online to all my questions, by doing a little digging. :)
I’m using the Ryu theme.
My question is, to install Google Analytics, I cannot find the menu that leads me to the section where I can insert my Google Analytics code. (On Tumblr, there was an “Edit HTML” section within the “Customize” menu of my theme, in which I would copy and paste the code. My theme, however, only leads me to a “CSS” area and I don’t see the longer script I’m used to.
Any thoughts on how I can proceed?
Cheers!

Note we cannot install Google Analytics on free hosted WordPress.com blogs. There is no upgrade here aside from your blog being accepted into VIP hosting that allows you to run Google Analytics. This is a multi-user blogging platform. Our blogs share a common architecture. We bloggers cannot access metadata on free hosted WordPress.com blogs and install any tracking code, we have no FTP access and we cannot install any plugins.
FTP access, and plugins are available only for VIP bloggers http://vip.wordpress.com/our-services/ or for those with WordPress.ORG installs. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
You will need to hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting/ and set you your own WordPress.org software install to install any plugins.
