Trouble following Private blogs

  I have people who have accepted my invite to view my private blog but cannot follow it. When they try to look my blog up and manage the blogs they follow, my blog doesn’t show up even though it says they are viewers on my end. Does anyone know how to fix this?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  To follow a private site, someone must first be added as a viewer and then they will need to make sure the site is listed in their Reader > Manage.

  Yes, they are listed as viewers, but when they go to the “Manage” page, the blog isn’t listed and they can’t search for it.

  Hi there,

  I just want you to confirm that your privacy setting for the site is not “Hidden”. Because there is a case that your site will not be searched in the reader section.

  Anyway I add modlook tag so staff will assist you.

  Hi there,

  “viewing” and “following” are two separate actions. Accepting an invitation as Viewer allows someone to access your private site, but it does not subscribe them to the site as well. In order to be subscribed they still need to go to your site and click the Follow button there, or manually search for an click Follow on the site in the Reader.

  If someone clicks Follow and the site then doesn’t appear in their Reader, that might indicate a problem. But in that case we’ll need to know the specific account that’s unable to follow, and preferably that person will have to post here themselves so we can help them with this.
