Trouble getting my etsy mini in side bar
-
Has anyone got any experience of putting an etsy mini in their side bar?
I have tried both the java script and flash codes in a text widget but it is not working. I am sure I am saving correctly.
When I go back to check what is in the text widget the code has been changed or shortend.
When I try the Java script code just random text appears on my blog and when I try flash the right words appear as a link but the images do not show up.
Can anyone offer advice? -

Neither are permitted. You can do a text widget with a static LINK to your etsy site or page.

How come I can have a flickr widget which includes pictures then?
I can’t see any difference between the two they both have images and text. The etsy mini does not have moving pictures or anything. -

Thanks for the link panaghisadam.
Do any other blog providers such as typepad allow javascript or flash, and if so how come they don’t have problems? -
Others do allow those things, and they DO have problems. Check out how Blogger was brought down by malicious javascript.
If javascript and flash are important to you, then WordPress.COM is not the place for you.
The security of all the blogs here is paramount and until such time that we can guarantee that scripting languages will not be harmful they will not be permitted.
