Trouble importing a blog

  Hi, I’m trying to import my Tumblr blog to WordPress and I’m having some difficulty. My first blog has about 40000 posts, so I left that overnight and when I checked it just now, it said that 0 posts had been imported. I tried stopping it by clearing the account information as the page says which worked fine – or so I thought. Then I tried importing another blog with only 900 posts, but I’m now getting an error message that says I can only have one blog importing at a time, but there isn’t a blog importing according to that page. Not sure how to proceed from here! I’d really like to import both of these blogs if possible. Thanks for any suggestions :)

  Hi –

  I’ve reset the Tumblr importer for your site so you can try again.

  If it seems to take long, please be patient and don’t try cancelling the process yourself – we’re experiencing a high volume of imports from Tumblr at the moment causing a backlog of pending imports in our system. The imports are being run in the order they are submitted.

  If the new import doesn’t complete within 24 hours, please let us know.

  What’s the file size you’re working with? Curious with that large number of posts. It may need split if it exceeds the guidelines.

  Thanks so much! I have no idea – it’s about seven years’ worth of tumblr posts though, so probably rather large (!)
