Trouble importing blog

I am trying to import a blog from blogger (that was originally on blogspot.com) to wordpress. I downloaded the xml file from blogger and uploaded it using the Blogger importer on WP. However, it keeps giving me a message: Your file has been successfully uploaded. We will begin processing your import right away.
But I don’t see content that’s been imported. I’m trying to import on a new blog I created called desicookie.wordpress.com. Thanks.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

We wait for 24 hours before asking for Staff help.
Hopefully you removed unmoderated and spam comments prior to creating the XML export file.
Is the site you exported from still online?
If it is then what is the URL please?
Sometimes the importer gets stuck. If the file is large you may have to import Posts, Pages, etc. in separate files. Or if the file is very large Staff may have to do the import.

I’m trying to import on a new blog I created called desicookie.wordpress.com.
Be sure that you are logged in under the exact same username account that registered the site.

Hi @shinobidesigns, usually when we see this, it’s something odd in the export files. Can you make sure you’re using these steps? Then I’ll email you for the files so I can try importing on this end.
https://support.google.com/blogger/answer/41387?hl=en&rd=1Make sure you’re using the back up your blog option, not the theme option, since the theme can’t be imported to a different system.

Yes I made a backup of the content, not the theme. I’ve emailed you back with a copy of the file. But I’m messaging here too in case any one else has the same problem is following this thread.

Thanks @shinobidesigns, I’ve confirmed the file only contains theme data. Please try the export once more. If it still only has theme data, you might get in touch with the Blogger folks to see if they can help you troubleshoot.
