Trouble importing large MT files

    Hi, I’m attempting to import a large (12 MB) text file from Moveable Type into my new WP blog. I’ve tried the http://mt-export-split.wordpress.net/ splitter utility, but it returns a “Sorry, I couldn’t find your key.” message.

    Then I tried the FTP route, renaming the file mt-export.txt and putting it in the wp-content directory. But an error comes back, saying “File is empty. Please upload something more substantial.”

    Understand that this is a multi-user and multi-blog installation.

    Help!!!

    Since it is a self-hosted blog, you need to inquire over at http://wordpress.ORG/support/ which is where the self-hosted software is supported and they will be much better able to help you. The software here at the free hosting service, wordpress.COM, works differently.
