Trouble importing Tumblr "likes" into Word Press

    Hello,

I am new to this and so I am having a little bit of difficulty. I thought I had sent a question to the helpdesk earlier but I don’t see it anywhere in my profile or dashboard.

I thought I had correctly imported my Tumblr blog into word press and I used the import app that WordPress offered. After about 20 hours it said it had “finished” but I still see 0/0 posts etc and basically nothing at all imported onto my blog page.

Basically I was trying to import all of the “likes” I have from Tumblr into WordPress. Is that the problem and is there no way to do that (copy a Tumblr “like”) if I haven’t created the original blog to begin with? Or do I have to use a different method to copy over all my likes in the word press?

I am just using the free word press doorman, which until I get to know the system I think will be fine for my purposes. I am not using any outside domain management for this account.q

Perhaps there is a simple solution that I am overlooking, so any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much for your assistance.

    Hi 54balsamart,

I see one of our Happiness Engineers sent an email to the address on your Account Settings page with more information. Please check your spam filter if the email isn’t in your inbox.

It looks like the import is finishing but if you need any further help, just reply to our email and we’ll follow up with you there :) If you are missing posts, please restart the import now — posts already on your WordPress.com site will be skipped by the importer. It might take a while to complete, though, as we’re still seeing a lot of new Tumblr imports being created so there’s still a backlog.

Also noting that it won’t be possible to import Tumblr likes onto WordPress.com I’m afraid.
