Trouble in moving to wp.org

    OK, here’s the deal:
I followed the procedure to move my blog from wordpress.com to a self-hosted wp.org blog, so while I exported and imported the files from the “old” blog to the “new” one, getting used to the theme etc, I had been using the (what I thought’d be) temporary URL to the “new” blog (http://69.195.124.60/~lovehan3/).Thing is, I wanted to keep the name and URL my site had before (http://lovehandmade.me) So when I got everything nice and ready I tried to change the “temporary” URL with http://lovehandmade.me, causing the new site to crash, and said URL to keeping pointing me to my “old” blog :( I know I definitely did something wrong along the way, how can I fix this?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

These are the instructions http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/move-domain/ but be aware that chaos is normal for the first 24 hours, and common for the next three days. So go through the instructions and make sure you did everything they say, and then wait. In my experience teh blog settles down for everyone else first and the owner is the last to see it all work properly.

There is some configuration your new host needs to have done to make sure that the new host can “catch” the domain name and put it to your new blog – then there might also be some configuration changes to your WordPress.ORG software – get the instructions over at WordPress.ORG to make your move easier
